The Right Speed = No Wash

When you’ve crossed the paddock for the last 2 hours coming back from the Reef, it sometimes takes a bit to get back to ‘Marina-mode’ where issues like restricted maneuverability, operating in close proximity to other vessels and boat wash as you transit through the Marina all have an impact on others. On this occasion, we wanted to put an appeal out to everyone to slow right down once you come inside the inner rock wall. We know select boats have a reasonably fast control speed but all skippers really need to appraise their speed and wash using the role-reversal method – "would I like the sort of wash I’m pulling come past my boat when its tied alongside?" Everyone will appreciate this courtesy of slowing down when you’re in the Marina.
