Our Fundraising this September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
What a turnout we had earlier this month for our Big Blue Brekky!
It was a beautiful morning it was to smell the amazing coffee from Coffee Presto who was up early to join our Charity breakfast and serve some beautiful brews to our Marina community.
We were totally surprised to smash our first fundraising Goal on the first morning of our month long fundraising campaign, with the Charity Brekky raising $1040 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia!
The Breakwater team were kept busy serving up BBQ Brekky to many of our Marina community who joined us bright and early to support a great cause close to our hearts.
This morning we also launched the $5 Lucky Squares raffle with $700 in prizes donated by Audacity Charters, The Treehouse Townsville. Design Works Apparel, The Navigation Centre, Townsville and Belchers Diesel Service.Tickets are $5 and available in the Marina office.With sincere thanks to the Coffee Presto team, Chloe Judith Photography and Design Works Apparel for joining us on the day.

Along with our $5 Lucky Squares Raffle, Breakwater Marina has been donating $2 for every visiting boat arriving during September.
We had 4 x weekly draws to win a Voucher for Dinner'n'Dessert for 2 which were kindly donated by our friends across the road at The Treehouse Townsville who have delicious pizza, fish'n'chips and ice-creamery and all within a short stroll from the Marina.
We'll announce the final winners on Friday and the tally of boats who have joined us for a visit > stay tuned!

It's important to ask the men we love in our life, "Are you at Risk?" September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and we are fundraising for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia over the next 4 weeks with our $5 Lucky Squares Raffle and we'll also be donating for every arrival that stays with us in September.
Fundraising is important to help the Foundation continue to implement awareness campaigns and education programs, and to support men and families with resources, support groups and Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurses.
