Townsville has an excellent system of public transport. The Townsville SunBus System has a central location in the city centre on Sturt Street. These buses interconnect with routes heading hourly to the suburbs, hospital, university and shopping centres. The airport is close by, ferries run regularly out to Magnetic Island and the train station is located in the inner city.
Whilst our Summer months can get moderately humid, during the year temperatures stay steady around 24 degrees with cool balmy nights. With 300 days of sunshine a year, the sunny skies makes living a sea-lifestyle ideal. The Palm Group, the reef and Magnetic Island’s secluded bays are only a short sail for the weekend.
The Marina has a great community of live-aboards living the dock-side lifestyle. Tenants regularly catch up around the BBQ for birthdays, jam sessions and other events. Check out our “Living the Marina Lifestyle” page for more information.
