Garbage & Recycling
We have a dedicated waste compound adjacent to our Amenities Building. Discharge of sullage, black water & oils into the marina is strictly prohibited. You can decant into storage receptacles in the waste compound, ask Marina Staff for to unlock the containers.
Electricity & Water
All Breakwater Marina berths are provided with single phase electrical connections up to 15amps included in the berth fee. Three phase power is available on selected larger berths, see Marina staff for details. Vessels requiring duplicate leads attract a surcharge. It is mandatory that all leads connecting to shore power have a captive male plug and a current tag. (See Agreement terms for further details.)
Fresh potable water is available to all Breakwater Marina berths. Townsville is currently under WATER RESTRICTION LEVEL 3 – please see the Marina office to see allowed times to use a hose to wash down your vessel (water tanks can be filled at anytime). Please be considerate in your use of this resource.
Refuelling, Gas & Ice
Unleaded & diesel fuel is available from our Fuel Wharf onsite. Fuel is available 24 hours a day with our new terminal. Visiting our wharf between 8am and 5pm – Onsite assistance available. We recommend you contact Marina staff on VHF10 prior to docking on the fuel wharf so staff are present to assist you. Gas and Ice are available from the Marina supervisor attending the fuel wharf.
Marina amenities are located at the top of Pier E and are accessed by using your Marina access key. This facility has Male and Female Bathrooms, Laundry, Free Wifi, a communal Herb garden and BBQ Area.
Coin operated washing machines and dryers are available at the northern end of the Amenities Building. Each wash cycle costs $4 and dryer cycle $3 and the machines accept a combination of $1, $2 coins.
Marina carparking is available for Marina tenants that have a current mooring agreement. Registration details will need to be supplied to the Marina Office. Unauthorised vehicles parked at the Marina may be removed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
We are committed to providing a safe and secure marine environment for all users and have a network of 15 CCTV cameras throughout the Marina. If you are unsure about any suspicious or unauthorised persons or vehicles in the Marina Precinct, please let Marina staff know. The Marina Precinct has adopted a “Neighbourhood Watch” group format who meet up regularly and are the first on-water Neighbourhood Watch group in Queensland.
“Duckpond” Mooring & Access to the Marina – Dinghy Berths
If you are planning to bring your Dinghy in and use our private facilities, dinghy berthing is only permitted on the inside of the Loading Dock, closest to the shore. Please register your dinghy at the Marina Office on your arrival. Use of the Loading Wharf/Fuel Wharf is under prior approval from management and daily rates may apply for vessels. Any unauthorised dinghies found to be entering the marina and using private moorings and facilities will be removed from the Marina.
